teammate: trail hike

For Teammate, a social app that matches people with workout partners who share their goals and schedules, I created a visual concept built around glowing “player rings” — a video-game–inspired cue that links each pair of teammates. This Trail Hike set was shot in the Berkeley fire trails at dusk, using ambient twilight and dramatic color grading to make the rings feel integrated and alive. I directed the shoot, executed the ring effects, and handled all retouching to deliver a cinematic, gamified look that captures the core idea of Teammate: find your person, sync your energy, and move together.
