Teammate: soccer

Teammate is a social fitness app that matches people with training partners who share their goals, interests, and schedules. For the campaign, I developed a visual system built around glowing “player rings” — a video-game–inspired cue that links each pair of teammates, signaling compatibility, synced energy, and the moment they connect. Across every sport, the rings serve as the anchor of the brand’s identity.

For the Soccer shoot, we shot just outside Oakland with a rising young player and her coach. Shot at dusk on a local field, the scene mixes natural twilight with sharp color accents to emphasize the glowing rings. I directed the session and handled all retouching and VFX, integrating the glowing rings into the environment to create a cinematic, motivational feel that embodies Teammate’s mission: find your person, train better together.
