teammate: boxing

Teammate is a social fitness app that matches people with partners who share their goals, interests, and schedules. For the campaign, I developed a visual system built around glowing “player rings” — a video-game–inspired cue that links each pair of teammates, signaling compatibility, synced energy, and the moment they connect. Across every sport, the rings serve as the anchor of the brand’s identity.

Shot at legendary King’s boxing gym in Oakland with two heavyweight sparring partners, this set uses hard overhead lighting, sweat sheen, and shadow to create intensity. The glowing rings anchor both fighters in the same “zone.”. I directed the shoot and executed all the VFX integration to keep the rings bold but unobtrusive in the darker environment.
