Deliquescence

Shot in New York City during a sudden rainstorm, Deliquescence captures a couple slipping through the softened edges of the city — wet pavement glowing, umbrellas trembling in the wind, clothing clinging and moving with the downpour. The rain becomes both atmosphere and character, dissolving the hard lines of the streets into something cinematic and intimate.

The series blends street fashion with the romance of bad weather: tailored layers, trench coats, boots splashing through reflections, and a palette of muted greys and deep blacks. I photographed and retouched the set to highlight motion, texture, and the way rain turns a busy city into a quiet, shared moment.
